Thompson Insurance Agency, Inc. Celebrates 100 Year Anniversary and 25 Years with United Valley
We are pleased to announce Thompson Insurance Agency, Inc. will be celebrating 100 years of business in January 2019, in addition to 25 years as a member of United Valley Insurance Services this year.
Thompson Insurance Agency, Inc. is an independent insurance agency, servicing accounts within Fresno County and the Central Coast of California. They credit their years of service to honesty, product knowledge, immediate service and historical experience. Employee dedication drives their team and the fact that a Thompson can be reached over the phone for the last 100 years has helped them earn loyal clients, some exceeding 55 consecutive years.
Thompson Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded by Glenn Britton Thompson in January 1919 in downtown Fresno with emphasis on transportation risks. William Britton Thompson joined the agency in the mid-forties and focused on commercial risks associated with downtown Fresno. Britton R. Thompson joined the agency in 1975 and obtained a broker’s license to access needed surplus lines markets. Britton Patrick Thompson joined the agency in 2008 and has guided the agency towards the hospitality industry.
Thompson Insurance Agency, Inc. joined United Valley Insurance Services in 1993 and was “the most productive decision ever made by the agency,” said Britton R. Thompson.
“The added fire-power solidified our retention levels and generated new sales opportunities. We joined for the new company appointments, but soon realized the benefits of the United Valley Insurance Services marketing programs and support services. The industry respect that comes with our membership is the number one reason for aligning with United Valley Insurance Services,” added Thompson.
“We’ve had the privilege to work with the Thompson family over the last 25 years and are thrilled to help congratulate them on their incredible longevity in the insurance industry,” said Rene Swan, President of United Valley Insurance Services.
