United Valley's Mark Smith Retires
After 40 years in the insurance industry and seven years with United Valley, Mark Smith is retiring.
For the last seven years, Mark has been United Valley’s Risk Consultant, providing coverage analysis, market research and risk/claims evaluations. Mark has been an integral part of the leadership team and helped launch the member practice groups.
Mark’s favorite part about working at United Valley is his co-workers and the integrity of the founders and management.
“I’ve had a great career in the insurance industry. I will take to retirement the pleasure of having worked with many community leaders and business owners throughout California. I’ve also worked with many different people in the industry that were willing to take time out of their days to mentor, train and educate me, for this I will be forever grateful. If I had to do it all over again knowing what I know today, I wouldn’t hesitate to enter the industry again.” said Mark.
What will Mark miss the most? He will miss working with agents on different issues that arise daily, being involved with successful businesses, learning their industries and being a very small part of their business operations.
Now that Mark will have more time on his hands, he plans to get back to daily exercise, tracing his family history, landscape gardening and travel.
“Mark has been a tremendous asset and will be dearly missed. We wish him the very best in his retirement,” said Rene Swan, President.
